Land marks: Karnak
The temple of Karnak (see figure 7.1) was known as the "most select of places" (MilImore, 2014) by the Egyptians. The large city of temples were built over 2,000 years (2055 B.C. - 100 A.D.) and the temples were dedicates to Amun, Mut and Khonsu.
Karnak is the biggest religious structure ever made. The Egyptians needed the Karnak temple as they needed to acknowledge the gods that helped them through everyday life. |
